Last summer, a bunch of friends and i planned a trip to California. There were 7 of us and we all split the cost of gas and hotels equally. 3 days before we leave one of my friends said he couldn’t make the trip and he’s sorry. We had all of the hotels already paid for and arranged. The one bailing on the trip, lets call him Bob, wanted each of us to refund him his part that he had paid. Normally this would have been fine and i would have paid him, but 3 days before the trip is way too soon, and i don’t believe that it is fair that he would do that to the rest of us. The reason this came to happen is that Bob didn’t think he could pay rent so he bailed on the trip and expected us to pay him back. My side of the argument is right, and 5/6 other people on the trip agreed and didn’t pay, only one did ad he lives with him.
